Climbing Club

Thanks to generous funding from the National Recreation Foundation, the Community Foundation of Bloomington and Monroe County, and other funders, we're happy to announce we'll be offering our Climbing Club program to local adolescents for free each spring, summer, and fall. This program uses climbing to help adolescents develop physical skills, build emotional resiliency, and create meaningful relationships.

We are now enrolling for our winter session of Climbing Club starting the week of November 15th!

We're offeing two concurrent sessions on either Monday or Tuesday, you can preference what day of the week works best for your climber.

More program information

Climbing Club is open to adolescents and young adults ages 12-17. The program consists of five evening sessions and one weekend trip of outdoor climbing and bouldering. Three of the evening sessions take place at Bradford Woods, where participants will have the opportunity to climb our Alpine Tower and Climbing Tower. The other two evening sessions take place at EPIC Climbing and Fitness, where participants will have the opportunity to climb indoors and learn about bouldering. The program ends after the culminating weekend climbing experience. In addition to learning about outdoor & indoor rock climbing and bouldering, participants will be exposed to many other valuable skills and knowledge sets, such as Leave No Trace outdoor ethics, how to tie knots, indoor climbing ethics, and climbing lingo.

This program is completely free to participants; including all associated gear rental expenses, travel expenses, and food/lodging during the weekend climbing trip.
